Get to Know Your Team:

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the planning, executing, directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care given to the surgical patient.
The intraoperative nurse provides safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care throughout the surgical experience.
Working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the multidisciplinary team.
The intraoperative nurse promotes patient safety, optimal outcomes, and efficient surgical workflows.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

Associate’s degree in Nursing.
Current New Jersey Registered Nurse license.
Evidence of continuing education in the field of OR nursing.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – or completed within 3 months of hire.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR).

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
