The Package Handler helps move, sort, scan, and prepare parcels in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment in Brooklyn. Core responsibilities typically include loading and unloading packages, organizing shipments by destination, checking labels, stacking items safely, and keeping work areas clear and orderly. This position may require operating hand trucks or other basic material-handling equipment as assigned and reporting damaged or misrouted packages to a supervisor. Candidates should be dependable, able to work efficiently as part of a team, and comfortable following sorting procedures and safety rules. Basic reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a consistent pace are important. Prior warehouse, logistics, or shipping experience is helpful but not necessary. Physical demands commonly include frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying packages of varying sizes. The schedule is full time and may include early mornings, evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and peak-period shifts depending on operational needs.
