Job Description

Discover a Behavioral Health Consultant (LICSW or LMHC) role that blends purpose, growth, and a remarkable opportunity to make a community impact.
This Mental Health opening is with an award-winning rural health system known for patient safety, quality, and access. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Mental Health Counselor benefits from advanced tools like an EHR-integrated registry, telepsychiatry, and measurement-based care. A learning culture supports the Behavioral Health Consultant with funded CE, mentorship, and clinical ladder pathways. Strong community backing and innovation accolades make this Behavioral Health Consultant role a platform for real impact.
Situated in a smaller community hospital and connected clinics, the Behavioral Health Consultant delivers integrated, same-day support. Right-sized workflows let the Integrated Behavioral Health Specialist provide brief, solution-focused interventions at the point of care. Close proximity to inpatient, ED, and ambulatory services enables the Behavioral Health Counselor to coordinate smooth transitions. Modern telehealth rooms and private consult spaces help the Behavioral Health Consultant serve pediatric and adult populations effectively.
Reporting to the Director of Integrated Behavioral Health, the Behavioral Health Consultant partners with friendly nurses and a diverse care team. Weekly psychiatric case consults and ready access to social work peers support the Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Core duties for the Behavioral Health Consultant include brief CBT/MI interventions, assessments, safety planning, and coordinated follow-up. Additional responsibilities span pediatric skills training, psychoeducation, EHR outcomes tracking, and streamlined referrals to internal and community resources.
Set in southeastern Washington, the Behavioral Health Consultant enjoys quick access to the Blue Mountains, winding rivers, and miles of trails for hiking, biking, fishing, and skiing. Outdoor concerts, farmers markets, and regional festivals pair with galleries and theater to keep the Mental Health Counselor engaged year-round. ️ With abundant sunshine, light traffic, and affordable neighborhoods near excellent schools, this Behavioral Health Consultant role supports a relaxed, family-friendly lifestyle close to state parks and the Snake River
The Behavioral Health Consultant (LICSW or LMHC) will receive competitive compensation and a full suite of benefits. To learn more today, apply now to get connected with a CMC recruiter!
